New World Little Garden update

The little gardens are growing beautifully in Room 9a and Room 18.
The children have been spraying them with water and putting them in the sunshine.
The children have each taken one plant home now to grow in their own garden and we will plant the leftovers in the class garden.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Room 9a wishes all our Mum's and Nana's a relaxing Mothers Day tomorrow.
I hope the children look after you today.

You were there for me on my first day of school,

To hold my hand and give me courage to go.

You let me grow and learn from my own mistakes.

You never leave my side when I feel sad.

I know you are there to pick me up.

I wish there was a way to repay all the things you have done for me.

But there is nothing great enough to repay you,

The greatest mother of all.

Symmetrical Butterflies

As part of our insects study we talked about symmetry in insects.
We made butterflies out of leaves and sticks we found at school and tried to make them symmetrical.
We then painted butterflies on one side of the wing and then folded them in half. We smoothed the two sides together and then opened them up.
Look at our beautiful butterfly's.

Congratulations to Olivia, Matt, Charlotte and Caleb. They filled up their 'I am Super' sticker charts this week . They were able to choose something from the prize box. Well done and keep up the great work.
